The Drake’s for St. Regis Father’s Day Capsule

The St. Regis New York on 5th Avenue has an aura to it. That elegant, limestone, Beaux-Arts front rising luxuriously up above the bustle of the street below. It feels like a hotel conjured up in your most perfect fantasy of a hotel. From the vantage point of our suite on the 18th floor, you can see the expanse of Manhattan in all directions, from the forests of Central Park to the commerce of Midtown.

The project of one John Jacob Astor IV, business tycoon, real estate mogul, and the most famous passenger aboard the Titanic, The St. Regis New York has that history built into it. A Gilded Age icon that was intended to be the most luxurious, but also most forward thinking of hotels. When it opened in 1904 it was described as "an extraordinary token of the wealth, good taste and prosperity of the nation", and so it has remained. The Astors’ legendary gatherings established St. Regis as The House of Celebration, a legacy that now defines the brand globally.

Its guests over the years have included everyone from Nikola Tesla to Salvador Dali, John Lennon to Alfred Hitchcock. Drake’s are the latest to join this illustrious roll-call. From the moment you walk through its revolving doors, to a Bloody Mary in the King Cole Bar, a burger in the suite to a stroll through the park, St. Regis is a haven of hospitality.

Our stay at St. Regis was not just for pleasure, but to celebrate our collaboration together, which arrives as St. Regis prepares to open its newest location in our hometown of London. But it was also timed to celebrate Father’s Day, and the collection of refined accessories we’ve made together that pay homage to the many roles dads play.

It’s a collaboration that expresses our shared heritage and love of craft, and is designed for moving effortlessly between professional polish and off duty ease.

From a gentlemanly green silk tie to a vintage-inspired baseball cap, there’s something here for whatever is required of you through the course of your day, from the working week to an off duty weekend relaxing. A silk bandana combines archival Drake’s prints with a champagne bottle motif, subtly referencing the daily Champagne Sabrage ritual at St. Regis, while a silk pocket square, combines both brands’ crests woven together.

All essentials for the modern dad, whether you’re dressing up for a special occasion, rushing around town, or simply spending some quality time with your child, a celebration of the perfectly worn modern heritage of both Drake’s and St. Regis Hotels & Resorts.
