HUMAN RESOURCES & PAYROLL ADVISOR (Full-Time or Part-Time)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

HR COORDINATION

  • Act as the main point of contact for employees and managers on employment matters
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of employment law and review legislatives changes to ensure the company handbook and HR policies remain current and are developed in line with best practice
  • Support line managers with recruitment, including: drafting job descriptions, posting vacancies, liaising with agencies, candidate screening, facilitating competency interviews and offers
  • Coach and advise managers on employee relations matters to ensure a supportive, inclusive and productive work environment
  • Provide efficient and effective support across the employee lifecycle, including:
  • Right to work checks, references, contracts and induction for new starters
  • Mandatory training and benefit scheme enrolment
  • Probation and annual performance reviews
  • Processing leavers and post-employment reference requests
  • Maintenance of up-to-date HR records via HR Information System

PAYROLL

  • Ownership of weekly and monthly UK payroll including liaison with 3rd party payroll providers to ensure smooth running of all payroll matters
  • Preparation of biweekly payroll for US store team ensuring all changes are captured and reported accurately

IT & FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

  • Organising company travel and processing expense claims
  • Managing facilities and greeting contractors at head office site
  • Updating and distributing health and safety policies in liaison with external consultants, ensuring compliance at head office
  • Liaising with external IT support to ensure all employees have the correct access and equipment to excel in their role

KEY SKILLS

  • Previous experience of HR, payroll and working with HR software, e.g. Breathe HR
  • Strong administration skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, with a focus on delivery and excellent task completion 
  • Dependable and trustworthy individual, with unquestionable integrity
  • Keen problem solver with ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An ability to form strong and trusted relationships with multinational colleagues 
  • Experience of working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • A quick learner who is working towards or aspiring to achieve their MCIPD qualification
