Caffè Collection: An Exclusive Summer Capsule

It’s quiet in Castagnole over the summer months. While tourists flock to Italy’s coasts, this village up in the hills of Piedmont, surrounded by Nebbiolo vines and rolling hills baked golden in the heat, runs at a more relaxed pace.

For the first in a new series of capsule collections, available exclusively at our stores and drakes.com, we returned to one of our favourite parts of… anywhere, really, to spend a couple of days with Alessandro, a local man about town, highlighting a different sort of Caffè Culture: An espresso out in the piazza, catching up with familiar faces, a few rounds of scopa, a card game that acts as an essential pastime around these parts, maybe another coffee, a flick through the paper, another chat, an aperitivo in the shade if the mood strikes.

Highlights from the collection include wide-fit chinos in soft cotton, loose Henley t-shirts, and a new relaxed-fit shirt that takes our classic Drake’s block, while adding some extra room for manoeuvring a laid-back day in the Italian sunshine.
