The Autumn Collection: Part Two

Autumn’s a good excuse to get dressed. One of the best, in fact. The days get shorter, it gets a bit colder, the weather a little unpredictable. Suddenly there’s a reason for a jacket, a heavy shirt, a cosy knit, a scarf.

This Autumn we’ve put together a wardrobe designed to work in much the same way we like to dress during the season: all about the joy of layering, and things to be worn in whatever way you like. A jumper thrown around the shoulders or tied around the waist, a little splash of bright colour here, a few nicely clashing textures there.

There’s a little bit of everything. Relaxed tailoring for days that call for something a little smarter, chore jackets and overshirts for days that don’t, and coats that are happy to deal with whatever the weather has in store.

Our new double-breasted Corduroy Chore takes the familiar chore and gives it a little more presence, while the Tweed Nehru marries the easy utility of a chore with the character of a Forestière, in substantial flecked herringbone tweed.

Then there’s the shearling vest, a little bit irreverent and a lot of fun, and the Donegal Crew Neck, made from a soft merino wool, cashmere and silk and made for the changeable bit of the year.

These are clothes that can earn their place in the wardrobe. Pieces that work hard and feel good. A Hound Overcheck Tweed brings a little more texture and sartorial weight to a Games Blazer this season, perfect with our new selection of check shirts.

It’s a collection built around the pleasures of getting dressed, and the possibilities of putting things together in new ways. Familiar things, given a little twist. Practical clothes with a sense of humour. Good stuff to wear, in other words.
