Grey Wool Fisherman's Roll Neck

A proper woollen roll neck with its roots in the knitwear worn by seafarers around the coasts of Europe. It’s knitted in Italy from 100% pure new wool, with a sturdy 2x2 rib and fully fashioned construction.

The five horn buttons across the shoulder take their cue from traditional maritime knitwear, where buttoned shoulder openings and straps were a practical feature of ganseys and mariner’s jerseys.

Finished with ribbed cuffs and hem and a generously proportioned roll neck, it’s a straightforward piece with a little more going on than first meets the eye.
