The Tribeca Collection: An Exclusive Capsule

It’s easy to adore New York. To idol­ise it all out of proportion. To slip into and enjoy the cliches that define the city, and which it still manages to surpass. Especially on a bright blue too-hot autumn day, when the city’s landscape of skyscrapers and dive bars feels endlessly cinematic.

For the second in our series of capsule collections, we navigated the many mythologies that permeate New York and the larger than life personalities who populate it: from the street vendors on Canal Street to the finance guys of Wall Street.

At times it can feel like New York contains the whole of the world: from Little Italy to Chinatown to Ukrainian Village. Across its five boroughs 800 languages are spoken. It’s the tumultuous home of Big Finance and the buzzing heart of a thousand different overlapping cultures, the birthplace of hip-hop, punk rock, pop art, abstract expressionism, Greenwich village folk and Harlem jazz. A place where everything is available all the time, but often you just want a big slice of New York style pizza.

It’s this culinary and cultural energy and history that’s inspired this collection. From the gingham table cloths of old school red sauce restaurants to huge diner burgers and the smooth luxury of martinis and oysters. A smock jacket in cord celebrates Tribeca’s artistic heritage, while the white collar and cuffs of red-striped western shirt are ready for a day analysing the markets and making deals, especially when paired with a double breasted fresco suit made in our factory in Veneto. Elsewhere, an olive and ecru windbreaker and a safari vest perfectly prepare for whatever the city throws at you.

The collection is a love letter to a city that always finds new ways to reinvent itself, and all the history it contains.
