Edward Green for Drake's Rosewood Leather Galway Boot

One of Edward Green's most iconic models, the Galway, is presented on the 64 last - a classic hunting and walking boot silhouette.

The boots are made with a Veldtschoen construction, wherein the leather upper is stitched above the welt, increasing the durability, water-resistance and flexibility of the model.

Constructed from Rosewood country calf leather with a 360° Goodyear welt, Ridgeway sole, leather middle, and a wooden shank in place of the usual metal, which can be prone to warping (and setting off metal detectors).

The shoes are full of considered details, such as the inclusion of a specially designed poly-cotton thread stitching throughout, which reduces the likelihood of cotton rotting or polyester cutting the leather with use.

A rugged yet elegant example of all-weather footwear that pairs as easily with denim as with bespoke tailoring.
