The festive season demands a good, well-made tipple. Alongside storied gin-makers, Boodles, we present four unique takes on the gin martini, each courtesy of one of New York’s most respected bartenders.

The festive season demands a good, well-made tipple. With this in mind Drake's and Boodles reached out to four of New York’s most renowned bartenders – Tom Walker of Pig Bleecker; Leo Robitschek of the Nomad; James Menite of the Plaza, and Maxwell Britten of the Django – to help us put together a menu of the finest gin martinis.

Read on for their masterful concoctions. 

Full Windsor

Full Windsor – by Maxwell Britten

2 oz. Boodles Gin

1 oz. Manzanilla Sherry 

½ tsp. Suze

1 dash Orange Bitters

1 dash Chocolate Mole Bitters 

Lemon Twist

Combine ingredients in a mixing glass with ice, stir, strain in a martini glass and garnish with a lemon twist.

 

Blind Date

Blind Date – by Tom Walker

2 oz. Boodles Gin

½ oz. Allesio Bianco

½ oz. Luxardo Bianco

Grapefruit Twist

Combine ingredients in a mixing glass with ice, stir, strain in a cocktail coupe and garnish with a grapefruit twist.

Leisure Suit 

Leisure Suit – by Leo Robitschek

2 oz. Boodles Gin

¾ oz. Noilly Prat Dry Vermouth

½ oz. Cocchi Americano

1 tsp of Maraschino Liqueur

Combine ingredients in a mixing glass with ice, stir and strain into a cocktail coupe rinsed with Pernod Absinthe. Garnish with a lemon twist. 

Plaza Suite 

The Plaza Suite – by James Menite

3 oz. Boodles Gin

2 dashes Orange Bitters

Rinse of Italicus Rosolio di Bergemotto

Rosemary Sprig

In a Yarai mixing glass, add gin and bitters with ice, stir and strain into a chilled cocktail coupe rinsed with Italicus. Garnish with a slapped rosemary sprig.
