Seatown is a real place. The closest beach to the Drake’s shirt factory in Chard, Somerset, we've long been captivated by this strange and scenic little hamlet carved into the Jurassic coast. Its white-washed houses, lonely pubs, dramatic scenery — a bit of a John Nash painting writ large. The famous white cliffs, sandy beaches, and the lap of the sea that rolls in from the English Channel. Also: Seatown, what a name.
A couple of years on from a trip there with our friend, David Coggins, we've returned to the idea of a Drake’s holiday capsule inspired by the idyll of a British seaside holiday. A new and expanded Seatown Beach Club collection, featuring bright towelling and linen chores, t-shirts, caps, swimming shorts and some of our favourite warm weather pieces for a long weekend in Dorset and beyond.
Seatown might be a real place, but it’s also a state of mind. It could be Maine, the Maldives, or Bognor Regis. All you need is fresh air, blue(ish) water, some great clothes to wear and the company of people who you love (or at least like a bit) to share it all with.
